Getting the right missed medication advice is crucial for seniors who may forget a dose.
It happens to the best of us, you look at your pill box and realize you forgot your 8:00 AM dose.
Now it’s noon. Should you take two? The short answer is: No.
My Advice:
Generally, if you remember within a few hours, take it immediately. However, if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one.
Never “double up” to catch up, as this can lead to dangerous side effects, especially with blood pressure or heart medication.
When in doubt, a quick 2-minute call to your pharmacist is always the safest move.
